Another movie from the same studio that brought the movie Coraline , Laika has brought another 3D stop-motion animated film called ParaNorman.
Already released in 2012, the movie succeed in separating itself from the rest of the animated film out there. Aside from the animation technique, the storyline differ with original plot and 'realistic' environment.
The movie is not afraid to touch sensitive issues that usually not present in animated films such as deaths, morality with some subtle adult humor.
I enjoyed it a lot and has high hopes what comes next from Laika
Another series from studio J.C Staff called Zero no Tsukaima. just like Shakugan No Shana, the series was based from light novel which then turned to anime series. There are 4 season with each season consist of 13 episodes. With all 4 season release, the series has come to an end. The ending may not what the original author has intended but this is the best things could do for him The series balance itself with plot, fan service and characters development. Starting between interaction of Louise and Saito to people in Tristain Academy of Magic and eventually the whole Halkeginia continent. The secret of Void Mage was revealed little by little and the destiny of those possessed were revelead in final season.
Thank you so much author Noboru Yamaguchi for this great series you created. May You Rest In Peace... :( The list of all 4 seasons

Finally, after completely watching the final episode of the final season last week, I have OFFICIALLY finished the Shakugan no Shana anime series !!!
Wow, the last time I watched it was in year 2008 for season 2.
Not touching the light novel version but the anime version, this J.C Staff masterpiece consist of 3 season;first released at 2005-2006 followed by 2007-2008 and finally completed in 2011-2012.
The first 2 season were consist of some of the plot with fillers in between but the 3rd one was completely different;it was full of action in every episodes which continues until the end.
For those who haven't seen the first 2, you may need to watch them first as the 3rd one is the direct sequel to the 2nd season.
Plus besides the existing characters there are new characters appeared in the 3rd season as this season focus more on both Tomogara organization (Bal Masque) and Flame Haze (Outlaw) and the war between them.
As the line spoke by Lily when she woke her sister to meet "mama" in the scene of the latest movie MAMA
Just watched the film last week. Very entertaining. For me rather than a "horror film", this is more like a "sad movie".
In my lifetime, I never watched a horror film in the cinema,I rather wait for the film to come out in DVD or on the television.
But once I saw the trailer on Youtube, I was compelled to watch it on the big screen and with big name like Guillermo del Toro, the creator of Pan's Labyrinth involved in it,I just have to see it.And undeniably I completely didn't regret it.
Not touching the actual plot and going 'technical' on it, the movie gave a view on mother's love and instinct that crosses boundaries even DEATH and would do anything to keep it that way.
Overall I really like the film and somehow it touches me (since I haven't felt sentimental for a movie for such a long time) and gave a sense of sadness and sorrow for the moment.
This is the trailer to the movie
And here is the 2008 short film that inspired the movie directed by the same director of the film;Andres Muschietti
Although Pokemon comes out every 2/3 years or so, each generation was almost the same in term of graphic with more or less add on on the game play and story line But last Jan 8th changes everything with the latest Nintendo Direct. New Pokemon games called Pokemon X and Pokemon Y were revealed as the new Gen VI games. What makes these games REALLY special is the total makeover on display and graphic department. No more sprite avatar and 2D representation. The game is totally 3D with actual graphic that match the games in consoles and PC. Here is the Nintendo Direct announcing the games.
Not more were revealed in the trailer. But that shows the games have evolved to the next stage and I can't wait until October 2013 to see the full packages.
